BackerKit typically takes about two weeks to process payments and send the funds our way. So it's tradition for us two take a small break between now and then. (Running a crowdfunding campaign is a lot of work, and we're exhausted!) During that two week period, we have a new poll live. You all narrowed down the color of the community pin to dark blue. So we've selected three shades of dark blue - a little purply blue, a truer blue, and a more tealy blue. Help select the final color options!

After we take a little break, we'll work on and send out reward surveys. This is how you'll select the pins you want and give you the opportunity to purchase additional pins if you like (including pins from the rest of our stock, which we include at a slight discount). We'll post an update when we're working on surveys, and another update when those surveys are live and ready for input.

We will not lock those surveys right away. Surveys will be locked closer to when we're ready to ship, that way you can update addresses if needed. We'll post an update one week before surveys are locked.

During this whole process, we'll pop in with updates as we have them - whether it's saying our order is submitted with our manufacturer, previews from our manu, or anything else we can think of. The longest periods are during actual production and shipping. Production and shipping to us can sometimes take a little more than a month. So our policy is to post an update at least once every eight weeks / every other month, even if we don't have anything to report.

Hey backers!

First - a huge thank you to all of you who've backed us thus far. We're sitting at a healthy 85% funded! We're not likely to hit any stretch goals, but I'm comfortably confident we'll hit our goal. <3

Second - I'd asked what sort of additional add-ons y'all would like to see, and y'all said stickers. I'm working on a couple different designs, but I wanted to share one that I'm anticipating adding to my water bottle.



Instead of making these stickers add-ons, stickers are going to be added to your pledges for free at certain levels. For every $30 you pledge to the campaign, a free sticker will be added to your reward shipment. So that's one free sticker at a two pin pledge, up to five free stickers at the all-in level. (Or, like, more if you add more, I guess??)

Free stickers will only be rewarded based on pledge values. If you add to your pledge through the pledge manager post campaign, it will not make you eligible for a free sticker. If you increase your pledge before the campaign ends in 9 days, it does count. Make sense? If not, comment, and I'll try to be more coherent. Haha!

If you don't qualify for a free sticker and still want one, they'll be add-ons but only in the pledge manager post campaign. 

While in the planning process of this pin series, a good friend jokingly suggested a Buddy & D pin. It was a joke, but I felt it really cut to the heart of what I wanted to accomplish with this campaign: Making people feel a little less alone.

When you have mental health issues - whether it's neurodivergence or mental illness (or both if you're super lucky like me) - it's really easy to feel isolated. Because who else really understands what you're feeling and experiencing? My hope is that seeing these pins is a gentle reminder that you're not alone, and there's a community for folks like us.

When I was young and undiagnosed and suffering without knowing why, a teddy bear Beanie Baby, by the name of Mr. Bear was my comfort object. And, thus, an easy source of inspiration for a Buddy & D pin.

Thanks to all of you, we're halfway funded, really close to hitting the community goal, and it's only - heck - day three? This is already our most successful pin campaign, so thank you for all your support!

New Add On - Mystery Pins

We've recently upgraded our storage unit, which meant moving all our stock. And finding stock we didn't realize we had. Some of the designs are from out of print books. Others have created such a surplus, we've got to get rid of them. We need space for all our new designs! (With pending manufacturing orders and this campaign, we're adding nearly 30 new designs to our stock. We need the room!)

Our pins typically retail at $15, but as mysteries they're priced at only $5. You can add multiple mystery pins to your pledge, as we do have a number of designs we'll be slipping into orders as mysteries. And our plan is to ensure multiple mystery orders are duplicate free. (Unless you order like, a million or more mysteries than we have designs. Haha.)
